...and then says, "Oh, not holding that against him BTW."

Well why even say that? He took someone in adult entertainment on a date. She's in a legal industry and it happened a couple years ago. What makes this scandalous or bad?

I mean, it's a living. Driven by supply and demand. If you're a porn star into your 40s, you have the biz savvy of someone like Stormy Daniels.

We can cap on JimmyG for football reasons, but I can't see that him taking someone who got into adult entertainment as bad just for that reason.

He's been doing it for awhile (I think since it happened over the summer).

Personally, I'm not willing to pretend to be brand new so that I can pretend to be surprised that Stephen A is doing something silly and obnoxious. Like, what else is new? Who cares?

As far as I can tell the only 9ers fans who care don't even really care and are only pretending to care because of some imaginary double standard that doesn't even exist and they just invented to begin with.

What happened is that after the 9ers beat the Cardinals the first time after the game, Erin Andrews asked Jimmy how it felt to be 8-0 and he said "Feels great, baby."

In reaction to that a bunch of 9ers fans started whining and screaming about all the snowflakes and SJWs who were going after Jimmy for calling Andrews "baby", and in the wake of that they started getting pissed at Smith for calling Jimmy "Pornstar Jimmy" (which he had already been doing for months) because of the "double standard" under which Jimmy got crap for calling Andrews "Baby" but Smith didn't get crap for calling Jimmy "Pornstar Jimmy."

The problem with this is that all the "snowflakes" and SJW's who criticzed Jimmy for saying "feels great, baby" to Andrews don't actually exist. Nobody actually cared or gave him any crap for it. They were just invented out of thin air so people could then be offended about the imaginary offense that imaginary people took,

So, at the end of the day, we basically have people pretending to be offended by "pornstar Jimmy" because they're offended by a double standard that they just entirely made up to begin with.

Like if you wanna talk about snowflakes, is there a better definition than people pretending to be offended about something they only care about to begin with because they're offended about something that isn't even true to begin with?

TL;DR -- people are full of it.

Seriously. The raidas have had "just win baby" as their slogan for decades.

Erin Andrews is an on-field professional. The "baby" comment would have well been made to a male journo. It really does not matter here.

Well said you guys. Agree 100%

You know the ones that are saying it's wrong for him to date a porn star are the ones consuming the most porn right? I mean my ex used to work for a satellite TV provider years back in the days before Direc and DISH when people only had those huge dishes and she said the Bible Belt had by far the most porn purchases of any region in the country.

If the biggest issue with Jimmy, that he dates P stars. I say good for him and who cares. This dude is just pissed that a unknown qb signed for a crap ton of cash. If his whole opinion was about football then I'd listen. But it's not. It's about him mad about the cash jimmy got.

Stephen A is a loud mouth joke that has no common sense. He hates nonstop. That is his M.O. he makes his cash yelling and screaming and acting like an a#$%joke on TV. Somehow he gets renewed and a raise. He is a waste of a analyst chair.

Was it mean spirited and malicious or a little more light hearted?

Tone is always important. If it was mean that's not cool, if it was just some easy ribbing then it's probably no more than what Jimmy hears from teammates and friends - boys will be boys and bust each others chops.

But yeah, Stephen A probably shouldn't be doing that on a public platform.

100% agree which is why he's never gotten ratings from me. Took about an hour of him when he first was on national shows to know I was watching/listening to him. Speaks volumes about what ESPN has become that he's their highest paid guy and apparently seen by network mgmt as their shining star.

Hardly unknown. They were anointing his ass since the almighty Belichick deigned to draft him in the 2nd round.

This makes me smile. I hope those people exist, so that I can laugh at them and use a bunch of trigger words.

I was using Stephan A wording. that's his whole premise for his argument. A nobody the we "no nothing about" making that kind of cash.

I'm sure the 49ers are fine with it, better to have a player between the sheets where you can find him rather then on a Rap Sheet somewhere and then go MIA afterwards.

Isn’t the criticism related to the fact that the woman he was with is a known escort? In other words, you could reasonably assume he was paying for more than just her dinner.

I’m not a Stephen A fan, but I think that’s what he’s hinting at.

So he's the paragon of virtue then? Bullshit. He's just an a-hole.

Who? Stephen A? No. He's a moron. However, I don't think that particular criticism is unfounded. And look, I don't care what Jimmy does in his personal life. It's just a bad look for a guy who is the face of a franchise in a league where a large portion of the fan base is under the age of 18.

A lot of p*orn performers escort. But we have no proof that's what transpired here (nor did Stephen A say so). He could have easily arranged to just host her at his apartment only if that's what this was about. But I don't think so. I think the dude just took her to dinner b/c he saw her as dateable material not something to hide.

And really, good for him.

P*orn like football has a short career life. These women deserve to move on after the industry has moved on from them, but that too often cannot happen.

Gauge for instance certified as a med tech but then got bounced from her hospital after colleagues recognized her from her adult industry career. Contrast that to Tyler Knight--he immediately went back to commodities and told people he was in porn. Then he went back to p*on. Look at Harry Weems. He became a successful real estate agent in Utah of all places.

Tyler Knight was a contact in the 2004 AIDS scare. Weems appeared in Deep Throat. I mean, these people did things as radical as what they're saying the women do.

I'd bet money that Stephen A has frequented the Red District a few times himself. It's always the hypocrites that throw the most shade.

Or he's just jealous. Who wouldn't be, 28 years old, good looks, 135 million contract, can boink anyone he wants really.
