  • That makes Trufant, Xavier Rhodes, Aqib Talib, and like five other vet CBs on the open market now. There should be a good depth/upgrade option available for cheap. Not sure if Tru is going to want CB1 money, but it'd be great to see him come home and push/replace Flowers.

  • I think this should be our #1 target right now. Will not cost us a comp pick either.

  • Haven't followed Trufant's career... could he play primarily as a slot corner? Looking at his pre-draft measurables he doesn't meet the arm length requirement outside but his SS was great

  • So, they got rid of their best TE, their best RB, and their best CB. Things aren't looking good for DQ.

  • Bring him home. This would be a massive upgrade over Flowers.

Maybe if Healthy, he was hurt last year and he is smallish, better slot guy, a pass rush and a slot guy will make everyone look better along with an improved D line, the way we are losing guys though we are getting bigger holes in areas we are already hurting.

I would be surprised if is doesn't sign with us. He could be the perfect fit for our secondary, at a reasonable price. I'd be open to somewhere around $7-$8 mil per but we could possibly get a hometown discount.

  • My pops has known the Trufant family for years. He worked with Lloyd in the Late 70's/Early to mid 80's. Really cool family. Lloyd is a hell of a bass player too.

So is that a yes on the 'family lives in Tacoma' thing? Asking for a friend. :)
