How will they pay drafted rookies?

I'd assume a deal is made with Chris Jones here soon, which would save them millions over the franchise tag allowing them to retain tenders and pay their draft pool.

Then others stated how are they going to pay X... well, again cap goes up an average of 10 a year so far.. I could see them keeping their nucleus together for at least 2 more years personally.

You cannot run a franchise assuming the cap will go up ..Did it this year?
Not by much. Then you also have many players who's salary also goes up
the following year.KC is done but they did buy a SB.

I heard they were 177.00 under.

That's what I heard to...my brother sent it to me and joked the Chiefs were going to need that stimulus check to serve Gatorade at training camp.

Watkins agreed to a new one-year contract that includes $7 million in base salary, a $1 million signing bonus and $1 million in per-game roster bonuses with an additional $7 million in incentives that could get the deal to $16 million

The pay cut keeps Watkins in K.C. while adding a much needed $5 million in salary-cap space for a Chiefs team that was pressed as tight against the cap as possible ahead of the draft.

So they can pay their rookies this year and their cap situation next year will
be about same if not worse as all they did was push Watkins big cap hit to
next year..You cannot beat the cap system it will kill them at some point.
PM hasn't even got his record breaking deal yet ha ha ..No more SB's.
Just like us,we couldn't keep everyone and have tried different areas
to be weak while paying to have strength in others.
As I have said it's time to cap off positions and then people won't be moving
so much while teams can keep their best players.

Are you advocating for further restrictions on pay, and on the freedom to move? That sounds really un-American. Do you hate freedom, capitalism, or both?

Lmao..So you want politics in this?We have a forum for that and it's not here.
Yes restrictions on pay to a point because the players and teams cannot
help themselves. We get a watered down game because you don't have
enough money to spread around under a cap system for quality if a few
are making too much.
Freedom to move? They can move but it's not going to be just for a $ and if
you are a top spot player you aren't making more than by staying.
Can you see the picture better?

I don't like your idea at all. I would never advocate for ceilings on what anyone can earn, as it goes against everything I believe in as an American.
