His first criminal convictions on controlled substances nearly a decade ago were related to a burglary. I guess it's possible he still has some money, but I doubt people who actually have any commit burglary offenses to obtain drugs; they usually just buy them.

I think he got that full $30 million of his contract. If I had $30 million I'd be pretty comfortable and likely set (barring any lower probability scenarios). If a early to mid 20s moron like Leaf has that much money, he probably blows most of it in a few years living like a king. Then he gets an addiction issue and it's not going to last after that.
