Martha Ford told them a year ago that they had one year to get the Lions in playoff contention mode by precisely Thanksgiving. Obviously that didn't happen.

But now they need an interim. Uh, Bevell? Who's in their pipeline doesn't seem very ideal.

So while I admire Ford and her daughter for growing a (metaphorical) pair, who's supposed to get them through the end of this season?

I'm sure that guy ain't Bevell. Maybe a call to Dan Quinn ?

Unbelievably Darrel Bevell, by way of the ineptness of Matt Patricia and the GM who were fired today by the Lions, is now (cough cough) a Head Coach in the NFL. He himself has been terrible there and by addition through subtraction is now the interim guy. What a disaster Detroit is.

I know this will probably get bumped but since Bevell was such a strong talking point on this board I thought it deserves to be in the main thread.

Great next stop for Harbaugh..

It will be really interesting if he manages to perform well. Could be a rare possibility he is a better HC type than than coordinator.

He couldn't be much worse as a HC than as an OC, that's for sure. I agree with the "2020 is just showing off" comment!
