FWIW, he wasn't in the top 20 for QB hits or TFLs either (2019).

I loved Clark while we had him, but super-glad we traded him for a draft haul instead of overpaying him. Perhaps Clark works harder and plays harder as an underdog. Hard to know for sure. Was super-happy to see him get a ring with the Chiefs.

Let's not rule out the possibility that Clark is nursing some kind of nagging injury that limits his effectiveness, and is playing through it.

I'm glad we got what we did but i wouldn't have been mad about sigining Clark either. Suprised with Chris Jones in the middle and always being able to pin his ears back he hasn't found more sucsess.

He had 5 sacks in their playoff run, so in that sense, he was worth it for KC.

Clark was always going to be an 8 to 10 sack per year guy. A good second pass rush option, so in that sense, he was never really worth DE 1 money.

The return for Clark ultimately ended up being Collier, Lewis and Robinson.

Trades are often judged by who got the best player. That's probably Lewis, if not presently, but likely soon.

Damn right he isn't worth De 1 money and he is going to help kill PM's
easy ride along with a few others beating that cap to death,in that
sense I'm glad they paid him..

Same goes for Clowney. How happy are we not to be paying him $18 million?! Instead we have Dunlap and Adams. Much better.
