CBS is a joke when it comes to managing audio. Many times throughout the broadcast my wife would say I was turning up the volume too loud. Nope. The audio signal was constantly changing from quiet to LOUD ALL. OF. THE. TIME.

Then came The Weekend's halftime performance. Holy Hell.

The audio feed sounded like he was singing out of a tin can from 100 yards away. Clearly the audio feed was off. I am a singer, with many years of experience singing on stage with monitors in front of me and I am telling you if he was hearing what we were hearing, it would be a nightmare.

And he pumped 7 million of his own money into this show? Wow. I would be beyond livid. CBS audio feed was garbage from every level.

I'm trying to settle on a picture in my head:

1. You crooning in a lounge, winking and finger-gunning at the ladies in the audience.
2. You wailing in a metal band like Bruce Dickinson with pyrotechnics going off.

Can't decide. Maybe I'll sort out a combination of the two.

Spot-on.

They had fluctuating compression and output level problems. Not to mention problems balancing audio sources at different times (crowd mics versus the box, etc.).

I was watching on CBS All Access and the audio was not matched up with the video. It wasn't a problem during okay by play, but during commercials and sideline reports it was bad.

Go with 2. Definitely the smart choice. <winks and finger guns you>

Yeah we are all brothers from other mothers for sure. We don't get to see each other nearly as much as we like but when we do it's literally like no time has passed. These days we will pass the acoustic around and sing songs and it's wonderful. We all laugh that we are in our 50's now like it's the strangest joke. We all still feel like we are in our 20's.

Father Time, indeed, remains undefeated.
