First round pick last year.
Position of need.
Major headcase.
Any chance you think the Hawks will pick him up as a project and try to turn his career around?

I was like ..didn't he JUST get signed by the Dolphins?

according to wiki:

"On March 17, 2021, Wilson and a seventh-round pick in the 2022 draft were traded to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2021 draft.[22] He was released by the Dolphins on March 20 after showing up late for his team physical and missing two workouts.[23]"

3 chances in 3 days that he failed. Wow.

I would love to see this happen! He was late to a meeting, missed another and didn't go to a VOLUNTARY workout...then Miami cut him. This is the kind of steal the Seahawks need!

One, not sure we need help at OT.

Two, if he really is a "head case" I'm out. Been there, done that.

No harm in kicking the tires and see what his motivation is right now. Perhaps he didn't like the idea of going to the Dolphins. It's not like he had a choice. I would at least talk with his agent and see what are his issues.

Not just no but hell no. The guy has been nothing but problems for two teams in only a year.
He needs psych evaluation and treatment...or to just party until his rookie signing bonus disappears, which appears to be his preferred course.

There are no team-player meetings and work-outs in March.

Since being traded to Miami, Wilson had arrived late for both his physical and his team orientation. He had also been absent for two optional workouts he had pledged to attend. [urltargetblank]https://larrybrownsports.com/football/isaiah-wilson-cut-dolphins-trade/575675[/urltargetblank]

As it turns out, we were right. After Wilson was late to his physical, orientation and didn’t show for a pair of voluntary workouts he was committed to attending, the Dolphins cut him. This guy's career peaked on draft day ... he's now partying on his entitlement.

$11,160,876 in guarantees for the 29th selection of the 2020 1st round.

Titans already paid out $6,547,486.

Dolphins on the hook for $4,480,026 in dead money.

1st round picks may get guarantees. But there are risks and no guarantees for selecting teams ..... as we all know from the experience with a 1st round pick not so long ago.

Under the CBA there are no organised team activities in March. Teams can cut players whenever they wish. If his rookie contract guarantees where still in place the Dolphins will be responsible for honouring them. If they were voided due to his conduct whilst with the Texans then he's better off as a FA than rather being on a 3 year zero-guarantee contract with a team calling him up for activities during the closed period.

The above quotes and links are accurate. The league recently announced adaptive modifications to Colvid-19 procedures. Those adjustments and copies of the CBA are readily available for your review.

He got cut from both teams for coming late to team meetings or not even showing up to workouts.

That's kinda the basic NFL requirement right there.

His goose is cooked until he repents and shows he's actually interested in doing more than partying.

Now Arrested for dangerous driving and a high speed flight from a police offer, he’s certainly piling up the strikes against himself. It’s rather clear he’s got ‘issues’ that he has to deal with before he can ever play football again.

It’s clear to me that he’ll likely face a potential suspension even if he isn’ with any team at present

If nothing else he’s a troubled young man who is close to throwing away a potentially good NFL career so he can party. Another one of give him money to piss away and he will in time type. Sad!

A serious waste of talent. I had hoped the team was interested in drafting him last draft, but now perhaps understand why they passed.

I think he mayt have some legitimate psychiatric issues.
