I'm assuming this put the Panthers in the race for Wilson. :sarcasm_on:

I like it for both teams, honestly. Jets get something in return, and Joe Brady gets a guy I'm assuming he fully endorsed to run his offense. Could work out great for all parties.

I hope Sam turns into something there. The Jets did him dirty. How can you expect your QB to succeed when the best WR you could pair with him is Jamison Crowder? I really wanted to see how Darnold and Mims could grow together. Oh well. Darnold should be a huge improvement for Carolina over Two Gloves.

I can understand the Jets strategy of having no strategy because that’s been the Jets way for the best part of thirty plus years.

But what’s in this deal for Carolina? Darnold really a better prospect? Bridgewater put up nearly 70% completion rate with average support. Darnold ...not so much.

So despite what some talking heads said named insiders insisted on Pete liking Darnold, Ruhle liked him more.

Fitterer's the GM down there. I don't doubt that the Seahawks FO liked him if Fitterer did.

I mean, I'm sure they didn't like him anywhere close to enough to view him as an acceptable Russ replacement, but ya know. I bet they don't hate him.

It's a fair trade for both sides. The picks are nothing that Carolina can't manage around and they get a chance to see if Darnold can be a franchise QB in this league. You can't blame him for the mess that is the Jets. There is no telling that within a sound and professional franchise what Darnold can become right now.

I personally hope he does really well and makes people realize how screwed up the Jets really were in the recent past.
