What he meant was that couldn't they do the same as not overpay?

The ravens weren't going to pay Brown, and Brown wanted to play LT and not any other position at all. He wanted out.

The Seahawks overpaid on Adams contract, and I too am wondering why is it when we trade for players, we tend to overpay?

PC and JS already made their trade for a left tackle back in 2017. Duane Brown has been a solid left tackle ever since.

Duane Brown was one of the best left tackles in the league last season. Absolutely elite. They traded for a good starter for the biggest hole on the line, for a much better value.

And what was the cost for Brown???

What about Diggs? Duane Brown? Clowney? Coleman? Dunlap?

Richardson, we gave up a 2nd round pick...
Jimmy Graham we gave a 1st round pick & Unger who we weren't going to resign.

As for Adams, we gave up a lot, like Percy trade, but so far no regrets. We will see how he pans out. Seahawks dont really overpay IMO, they are the most value draft/ free agent/trade organization
