Newton is washed up. He'll latch on as a backup somewhere, but his days as a starter are over.

Putting aside my hate for his whiny-ass.... He would probably be an upgrade over Geno Smith. But, he probably wouldn't bother playing at back-up prices. Wonder who's gonna snatch him up?

Not all of the incompletions are Lance's fault, but I'm not sure the Niners are in any hurry to start him. So I don't think they can afford to trade Jimmy yet.
