I read that by start of training camp, there was only one unvaxed player for both us and the 49ers.

If we still have one unvaxed player on the 53, I would think that player have to be a star or at least a heavy weight. Don't you think?

Quandre had expressed hesitancy, and Bosa flat out said he wasn't going to do it.

The disadvantage would be comparable, but still less, than what happened with the Vikes having to quarantine their whole QB room. Kellen Mond was vaccinated and got COVID anyway. Kirk Cousins, who was not vaccinated, missed the mandatory five days' worth of time.

Cousins mused afterward that perhaps the solution was plexiglassing the space around his locker. Which I think is a good idea.

OMG! Why doesn't he just walk around in an inflatable bubble? Are people so filled with mistrust and suspicion that they'll go to these kind of lengths just to avoid what 175 million Americans have already taken? SMH.

No kidding. The ironic thing is that if there were a major problem with the vaccines, given how many people have already taken them, those that were smart enough to avoid them would still not be able to avoid the social and economic catastrophe that would engulf the entire world.

We are here only talking about the joint NFL-NFLPA negotiated rules.

These rules put unvaccinated players at a competitive disadvantage. And given that 93 percent of the league got vaxed (regardless of whether they liked it), you would expect less sympathy from these union members in all.

Quandre being out could be handled, hopefully. Russ being out means we'd probably/definitely lose the next game if unvaccinated.

If vaccinated, he only has to sit if he got it through 2 neg tests. Like Tannehill.

If unvaxed, he would have to sit for at least 10 days before the neg tests could even start. Plus, he'd have to sit for five if he came in close-contact, not true for vaccinated players.

This is a huge risk, and obvi the only ones who survive it tend to be these big starters. Bosa, Quandre, any one of these people on an "all but one" team--the team can kinda relax because it's just that one person.

The Bills, Vikings, Indy, probably Baltimore aren't in that position.

Keep in mind that the two negative tests the vaxxed player has to take if he were exposed must be spaced at least 24 hours apart, so depending on the timing, say if it happened on the day before a game, it could be disastrous.

Right, but it's only unvaxed players who test on game day as part of daily testing. Unless a vaxed player were symptomatic, they wouldn't be tested otherwise.

A whole team of vaccinated players on a filed with 60 thousand people without masks overhead breathing down on them.
