The season starts in about six weeks and the biggest offseason news so far is Zlatan joining Man U. If nothing else, the man will be good for a quote or two every week.

Zlatan is icing.

The season will start with Leicester as the holders, Mourinho at United, Conte at Chelsea, Wenger at Arsenal, Klopp at Liverpool and Pep at City. That's an amazing array of characters.

Very exciting for the PL.

Once Euros wrap up I'm sure we will start to see a good run of players on the move as well.

Looking forward to the start of the season, Palace have already signed Townsend from Newcastle and Steve Mandanda from Marseille. It also looks like James Tompkins is signing from West Ham tomorrow and that Benteke is close to being done. All good positive steps so far so the pressure will be on Pardew to hit the season running and get off to a decent start.

I used to really like Zlatan for his insane skill level for such a big boy, but him joining the Scum has really soured me on him. He is still an unbelievable talent, but at 35 in October, they will be lucky if he doesn't turn into a Schweinsteiger.

David Moyes is back in the PL. Sunderland have hired him to replace the departing Sam Allardyce.

Pogba to Man u...

So with Mou moves...are they the favorites?

Man, what a start for them... :177692: I hate to admit it, but Pogba is huge. Hope we get another ITA transfer that crashes and burns! :2thumbs:

Big, big transfer. But as Mou said (rightfully)... "at United, it can happen"

From an EPL standpoint, this year is shaping up to be quite an entertaining one.

Some big name players and coaches have moved into the league. Lots of questions about a resurgent United, will Leicester (or Spurs) fall off with such a busy schedule at hand. How will Pep get along in the Prem. And what about Conte at Chelsea? Will the team struggle to implement the 3 man back line early? Any hope for a Liverpool team without any European football to "distract" them.

And West Ham is just there lingering...

Watched and suffered the Palace game yesterday, they are in real trouble, didn't seem to have any shape to there play. They need 3-4 players before the transfer window closes.

It's a 343. Or more of a 3421. Key is hazard and Pedro more central so they can connect with others easier and aren't isolated too wide. Working wonders. Liverpool ran this with Rodgers a couple years back to similar success... for about 8/9 matches. Teams adjusted and it fell apart. They didn't have Hazard though.

Conte would love to use the 352 he had during his Juventus years. It will be interesting to see what they do with another batch of winter and summer signings.

I'm sure they will default to it at some point. In the formation however you have to drop Hazard further down and more central or move him out wide... neither are his best positions.

Could see a 3412 with hazard at CAM. Still not sure that central is his best either. All these new #8 players like Ozil Coutinho Hazard DeBruyne are better suited as tucked in wing players than true CAMs. Interesting to watch how each manager alters the formation to suit their best players.

USMNT has the same dilemma with Pulisic coming up

He must not have liked what he saw of Oscar as a CAM. A Hazzard/Costa combo as a CF combo just would not work. If you look at his 2013-14 Juve team he has Tevez/Llorente combo up front. He just doesn't have those types of players on this Chelsea team.
