I was there. I don’t remember though as I was 6 months old.
I went to the 2nd mariners game ever. My uncle knew one of the Mariners players so we got comped tickets.

Indeed he was. Bill Schonley, the longtime voice of the Blazers down here was I believe the voice of the Pilots that one season and he has ZERO good to say about Selig. Calls him "the used car salesman" and never calls him by name iirc.



If anyone's interested in what the '69 Pilots were like, Ball Four by Jim Bouton is a must read. He was with the team until August when he was traded to the Astros.

Read that book in my “Selective reading” class in highschool. Teacher said I don’t care what books you read as long as you do a report on it. Of course I read only sports books.
