Football shouldn’t be played in Florida period. Not until covid goes away. Or do it like the NBA. Play in a bubble.

Didn't multiple people from the Marlins team go out to a strip club for wings, and came back with The Rona? And aren't they the only MLBers to test positive since the start of the season, because nobody else in the league is that colossally stupid?

The MLB screwed it up.

The NFL can do this easy. Other leagues have.

Yes, this is correct and isn’t talked about enough. If the players had followed team/mlb protocol they likely would have no one COVID positive. Their situation could have been avoided with some common sense.

They didn't provide enough of a buffer between camp and games. Needed a month to get all the first wave of testing and quarantines out of the way

Doesn't change the fact that one idiot screwed it up for everyone else.

We're barely into week 2, right?

8 of 30 teams have now been impacted.

Season will probably be cancelled by mid August. Goodell should take notes, if it ain’t played in a bubble it probably won’t work.

Is this a reflection of their plan?

My goodness, what a mess. They're now putting it on the players.

You're not getting a bubble for 5 months

I agree with this. But what can the NFL do to minimize the risk? Or is there anything they can do? It was pretty dumb for MLB not to do a bubble because it would have been pretty easy with all the spring training fields in either Arizona or Florida.

The NFL has almost no chance of making it through the season if they go about it the same way as MLB.

I've said it a bunch, but follow european soccer. Heavily regimented testing and quarantine protocols,

And give the process a month in training camp before games..

There will be positives, but you quarantine them and move on.

The key though, is keeping the team isolated and disciplined. It has worked in soccer. Not a bubble. Just team policies that are strict and have accountability.

Will be interesting to see numbers now that the euro leagues have wrapped 2019 and have 8 weeks or so before 2020 starts. Players getting 2-3 week leaves. Assume they will test and test and test before resuming team trainings

With all the talk about how this year is different, one thing didn't change for baseball...no fans in the stands.

The correct answer to the question "who won the 1994 WS" is NASCAR and the NFL.
