3-0 ALCS lead over the Asterisks. Given that #PlayoffDodgers is still a thing, it looks like they'll be playing Atlanta in the World Series.

Love the Rays..
My best friend lives in Tampa now.
The first year I ever went down there was the Rays
first season and I'm thinking this reminded me so
much of the M's ..Dome and crappy uniforms.
they have came a long ways since then.. :2thumbs:

Yes, Joe Madden left behind a strong contender when he went to Chicago.

I know and the Cubs are my National L team..
I was impressed with Tampa's FO for the right moves
they made after Joe left..I wish the M's had done
the Rays way a long time ago after 2000 run.

It's always frustrating to observe well-run franchises. Woodward was a decent GM, and Pat Gillick was phenomenal (he helped make both the Blue Jays and Phillies into WS champions). Since then, Bavasi and Z were awful. All four of them were undermined by Lincoln and Armstrong the whole way. It will be interesting to see how Dipoto performs, long-term, without those two clowns holding him back.

Also, the Rays scared the hell out of me by blowing the 3-0 series lead!

I have a soft spot for the Rays. I hate the AL east... toronto boston NY. But the rays are hard to root against in that division. They are kinda like the A’s of the east. They are good, not many people show up for their games.... crummy ball park, yet they win. I love it. Go rays! Hopefully someday before i die the Mariners can bring excitement to the NW like you have done to the SW! Congrats and thank you for beating those FREAKIN CHEATING ASTROS !!!! :irishdrinkers:

When I was a kid, I listened to the Blue Jays winning the WS on my radio (grew-up without TV). It was exciting, and my elementary school, in need of a new mascot, became the Blue Jays. As such, they are my favorite AL East team, douchy bat flips notwithstanding. But, yeah, the Rays are an easy underdog team to root for.

The Rays got those smug cheats..Should have not gone 7
but the thing is those arms will be rested for the winner of
Braves/Dodgers..I want Atlanta as I'm tired of and do not
like the Dodgers.you hear how great Kershaw is but he
sucks in postseason.
Go Rays!

Yeah, it's been bizarre watching Kershaw collapse repeatedly in the playoffs. My only real sympathy for the Dodgers is that they lost to both teams that were implicated in the scandal. That's got to be rough for a fan base.

I think I would be rooting for them if the Lakers hadn't just won. I'm still mad at LeBron for his douchy comments about Hong Kong, and don't want to see the city win another trophy this year.

Wow, Braves blew that. They never recovered from that silly mistake that led to that double play. That's all on the manager you have to let your runners know not to run on a ground ball to 3rd or shortstop with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out or less. Wow. That's why I love baseball though. Rooting for Rays but I think Dodgers finally get it done this year. Umps will probably be on their side too.

It does seem like they finally have momentum.

I can't believe how freaking amazing Corey Seager is playing. His 4-5 brought his WS average up to .500.

The only thing good about Zunino is his upper body strength. Whenever he gets ahold of one, he can hit some impressive home runs. I wouldn't really consider that much of a recommendation, though. Since he put in some time here, though, I was prepared to get really excited for him to win a WS. Taylor was much less a part of the M's, by comparison.

The pit
They should have kept Snell in. The guy was dealing and that was the World Series.
Overuse of Analytics bit them in the ass.

Snell only gave up one hit in 6..Damn right you keep
him in because it's the last time till next year..
The Rays will win one sooner than later.
Some impressive talent on that team.
MZ is not one of those players ha ha.
