  • It only takes a few minutes to walk there, but about two hours to walk home. The difference is staggering.

  • My starter cannibis plants?

Note am in California and fully legal to do that here. But if I were in Seattle, I'd almost be like f it, it costs me 1/10th of what I'd have to otherwise get at the store.

  • The latest thing that was green (OK yellow-green) and sitting in my backyard was a tame budgie.

In US, they're known as parakeets, and a lot of them are sold at Petco. Anyway, this one was hand-tame and came right up on my finger.

So we fed him/watered him/sheltered him and put up a Nextdoor for whomever is looking for him for now as we all know that any animal turned in to Humane Society can take hundreds of dollars to "redeem" or get back.

  • We have posted this budgie all over the place and no one has come forth to claim it. It looks like it'll be staying here awhile.

So, I'm a bird person. One chicken turned into eight, but they give us hundreds of dollars in fresh eggs every year. We give many away now. We have two cockatiels also, super anti-social now. And now we have this new yellow parakeet.
