Anybody here surprised Diggs says this? I mean from some of our perspective, "duh" comes to mind, but it's surprising to hear it nonetheless.
I wonder what "hype" he is referring to. Most sites rank the Seahawks in the bottom quarter of the league at best.
"Pete Carroll was so convinced that the Seattle Seahawks could have a successful 2022 season that, during training camp, the longtime coach gave the team a presentation about the 50th anniversary of the 1972 undefeated Miami Dolphins and asked his players why they couldn't accomplish the same feat, sources told ESPN."
i'm onboard. love dk, but we're wasting him with geno. would have been better imo to get 1-2 more 1sts last offseason. still a good problem to have. They had a strong, consistent run. We all know what it is this year.
I’m just hoping that management knew it as well or, that they know it now. With the moves or lack there of with certain players, it makes me think we thought we had a chance.
DK is my favorite Hawk. But….I would’ve traded him for picks…and planned on developing what we brought in along with the next two years of draft crop.
I’m sure that will be an unpopular take on it but…I doubt he cracks 1K this year and when it’s all said and done, he’ll be scratching and clawing to get out of here.
It’s a rebuild. Always has been. Plan for the future.
Truth.I love him as a player.
What a great player. One of the few bright spots we have.
He had NOTHING to hang his head about.
I can understand the surface level attractiveness of this path but it doesn't make sense to me overall. That would leave one more position that has to be filled and developed with an unknown player. How many draft picks of WRs have they gotten right the past few years aside from DK? We already have a young stud at that spot so we don't have to waste time and resources to fill it and can concentrate on where we have holes. Like WR3 still. I don't want to go into a rookie QBs first season, whether he starts or not, without a strong receiver presence. Off-hand I don't recall Lockett's contract status but he isn't young. DK may not like it but he knew what he was getting into when he signed and, imo, is one of the most important veteran pieces of the rebuild. I'd rather have that than waste a few picks on WR1 whiffs.i'm onboard. love dk, but we're wasting him with geno. would have been better imo to get 1-2 more 1sts last offseason. still a good problem to have.
