I kind of wish I hadn't watched the video, there were very few carries that looked like he had the ball well secured. Reminds me of CMike a bit, you can tell he knows how to hold the ball but he must revert to his old style once he gets in a game.
I hope (and I'm 100% sure this isn't the case) that the team doesn't even think about his leg. He looked great in the second half and his leg didn't bother him at all. He didn't run but he didn't have to.
Any stat that Mark Sanchez is top 10 all time in is a flawed stat. That said, Russell pretty clearly is the exact type of QB you want in the playoffs. And Mark Sanchez was too when he had success.
Unger's ankle "felt OK", so who knows. Hill was confident he'd be back for this game so we'll see what the official diagnosis is.
Anyone on here know anything about varying degrees of knee sprains?
Edited for clarity.
Keep in mind he spent a lot of the game covering a guy that gives even Sherman trouble. He had a bad game but I'm not concerned at all. The only really bad play I saw him make was late in the game when both he and Wright went for the pick instead of tackling.
Does Norwood play special teams at this point in his career? I know Chris Matthews was on ST until he got hurt. With Kearse out they need a guy that can play WR and ST. I think he's a Christine Michael type inactive.
Carroll said his hamstring tightened up and they took him out as a precaution. I don't know what that means in Carroll-speak but at least it's not "legit".
He's probably the best rookie RT. It's hard to plug a rookie into any line, but especially difficult when it's the Seahawks line and you have Russell Wilson running around behind you. I like him after 1 year better than I liked Carp after 2.
I don't any of the TEs in this draft. The only one I'd be happy with is Funchess as a project but he'll get drafted too early for that. I wouldn't draft any of these guys before the 4th but unfortunately that's now how the draft works and someone will reach.
I'm assuming you can't practice on IR, I bet they just activated him so he can practice with the team. If Harbaugh actually plays him he should be fired at halftime.
I've always thought of that subject a different way. I have absolutely no statistics to back this up but I imagine that the average D-line he played against was much smaller (or at least less skilled) than the NFL average. The difference to me has more to do with guys getting their hands up than...
I don't like putting a ton of blame on the receivers, they are getting open, just not for long. A lot of it has to do with the route tree the Hawks run. You can't compare what the Hawks receivers are doing to guys on the Colts because the routes are so different. Sometimes the ball needs to come...
