My gut feeling is that something is coming down the pipe about a suspension. The Pats may have moved on before anything official was released. Josh Gordon was playing almost 90% of the snaps for New England and then poof...they release him.
Josh Gordon should be treated as a luxury and someone the franchise can never rely upon.
It is unfortunate, but if you think Josh Gordon will NOW be clean on his Nth+1 chance then you are mistaken.
Trades happen with the information you have at that moment. The trade happened and it was a slam dunk. The fact the Seahawks had injuries or played poorly afterwards is not a reflection on the trade itself.
If the Hawks won the Superbowl last year then people'e tune would be it was worth it...

In the deal they moved down from 2nd to the 3rd round in the draft (depending on comp pick) and lost Kearse a player who wasn't playing well at all and would...
What hurts?
The Hawks get a comp pick which is conveniently left out of this analysis. Kearse wasn't very good, and not sure how Paul Richardson leaving in free agency is even relevant.
Richardson and a 3rd/4th comp pick for a 2nd and Kearse.
Hindsight is 20/20 but the front office...

Jimmy Graham was awesome for the Seahawks and added something everyone complained about before...Redzone TDs.
Wilson to Graham was a pitch and catch TD almost every time and now people are acting like that is easy to replace.
Nice move by PC and JS.
With the way the NFL is heading, defenses will have 3 safeties on the field more often than not and Chancellor will be playing that hybrid role. The good thing about Chancellor's skill set is that if his speed does fall off and can not handle the safety position as...
