Smart. They can't all make the team, and that gives him leverage.

I see this is a plan to trade him during or at the end of camp. He’s cheap and movable.

Interesting behind the scenes story to this. They sign him earlier this year to keep him here, then after the draft they cut his pay. Would love to be a fly on the wall during these conversations.

I as well.

Jackson got caught playing with too much cushion in the previous defense from time to time. That might have been a cause of fan dismissal. Jason Fitzgerald grades him with an OTC valuation of $3,015,000 verses an actual cap hit of $1,222,500.

Jackson is a team bargain if he fits in with a role in the new defense.

I'm really wondering who is on the roster from the previous coaching staff who will emerge with the new staff. I think Mike Jackson will be one , Coby Bryant is another. He was pretty good in CFB at Cincy

A lot of multi role & position experimentation could be in the offering. I don't know that anything is locked down in the secondary. Karl Scott will likely work on discovering and getting the best defensive back combinations on the field. We're likely to witness a couple of surprising outcomes.
