It was apparent that Witherspoon was not going to start and had been outplayed by many others. No loss as wasn't physical enough to be a Seahawks CB. Wonder what the trade considerations will be?

EDIT: Just heard on Sirius XM NFL the Steelers will return to the Hawks a 2023 (corrected) 5th round pick for Witherspoon.

Am happy to see Haynes being brought back to the PS. He could be a quality OLine player if he could just stay healthy something that has eluded him so far. I can see him back on the 53 before the season is over.

OP is updated. First version of the PS is complete. Still is an opening on the 53.

There is an open roster spot on the 53 which indicates more is to come.

This isn’t a huge surprise but will necessitate a player being waived or released from the PS to happen.

I am sure there is something more besides PS moves in the works as the team has an open roster spot on the 53 man roster. Besides JS is often very active at this time of the year as teams are willing to deal players at positions where they have perceived surplus. Maybe another DT like Atkins or possibly Sherman or another CB on terms more suitable to the team, or ???

He allowed 41 receptions on 58 targets in 10 games in 2020 I'm hoping this is more for depth and special teams

On PFF:
Austin was 71.4 in 2019 playing with Jamal, but dropped to 51.1 in 2020 without.
Our Tre Flowers was 62.9 in 2018 his rookie year, 53.9 in 2019, and 54.4 in 2020. Experience didn't help Flowers.
Shaquil? he was 65.3 in 2017 his rookie year, 54.7 in 2018, 77 in 2019, and 64.1 in 2020.

Hoping that Flowers bounce back after his prolonged sophomore slump.

Officially it would appear that CB- Blessaun Austin is not yet signed to the team. I have lefty him on the roster as I expect this may be just a formality or is pending. That has put the numbers over 53 on the OP.

As we know a team can elevate up to two players from the PS to the 53 man roster 2x before they need to make a decision on the player.

It is being reported the team has elevated CB- John Reid to the 53 man roster for this week.

I cannot recall how this works as far as the 53 man but it is clearly the case there will need to be other moves made. Likely a few candidates to be moved to IR or?
