THE BLITZ WITH LYDIA CRUZ -- August 22, 2018

The Mariners were on the wrong side of a one-run game last night, losing 3-2 to the Astros to even the series at one a piece. Mike Leake was a late scratch, as was Nelson Cruz, while Nick Vincent made the first start of his MLB career.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Seahawks running back JD McKissic suffered a Jones fracture and will miss 4-6 weeks, meaning he'll be absent for the start of the regular season.

Carroll also commented on red zone struggles, Rashaad Penny's status and creating competition for Germain Ifedi at right tackle.

Later in the hour, we hear from two rookies who have impressed in the preseason: defensive end Rasheem Green and punter Michael Dickson.
