I really want Red to stay a Seahawk. He's been with us 6 years now, and his first years were bumpy one. When Carroll came he saw the value of playing him at DE, and Red hasn't looked back since. He's a big strong run stuffing defender, and a tough man in a tough NFL division. Red is a Seahawk through and through, and a veteran leader in the dressing room for all the kids we bring in.

He was only resigned 2 years ago to a 5 year / 35 million deal witrh 14.5 guaranteed. We will probably be asked to restructure and he will probably comply. His father-in-law is Seahawk DL legend Jacob Green!!!

I just can't see Red not being a Seahawk - it wouldn't be right.

I love Red and he is a captain, however, he plays about 30 snaps a game and is a run stuffing DE which is somewhat rare in concept. That's a pretty big cap number for 30 snaps a game and someone that doesn't produce sacks.
