Just curious if anyone has seen any updates on Carson? Not sure if he should even play again based on his injury.

Reading in between the lines, the last update from Pete wasn't encouraging. It's not that he said anything specifically to cause alarm...its just the way he described Chris 'battling' and 'getting after it'.... typical Pete speak for 'he's having a hard time, but he's not giving up...' is how I took it.

From the Pete 'word salad' press on the issue - I can't help but think that CC is DONE. Without intent, of course ;)

It does beg the question: "What the hell do we do next?!"

Exactly. If he is done do they ride Penney with Collons, Dallas and Homer as backups or do they draft someone in a higher round like 3rd round?

You guys may be right, but in this pre-draft period, they're always vague on personnel issues. Don't want to tip their hand.

Pete added more by saying Chris is running and doing all that stuff just fine but has had no contact yet, which of course is the ultimate decider. So we won't know about him until after contact part of camp starts is what I got out of that. Thing is, can we wait that long to cover the potential shortfall? Getting Collins back would be great, but can we afford that move with Carson still on the books?

To me Carson is done..His neck was fused together
just like Peyton Manning's was..A Rb has a lot more
contact with harder hits.
I'm not saying it cannot be done (playing) but how
much risk is there and what?i'm going to feel funny
every time I see him lower his head or take upper
body hits..This isn't golf or tennis.
He had a hard enough time being healthy before the
neck..Just walk away.

Yeah, that's my take too.
Guys like Kam Chancellor & Cliff Avril were smart enough to realize that it only takes one bad angle hit, & you might wind up a cripple, or in a damned wheelchair for the rest of your life.

A fused neck? One would hope that Carson do not force a comeback, may not worth the risk.

Drafting a RB should be a high priority as this is what is going to drive this offense now.
