What just happened?! Salk and crew are dumbfounded by the way last night's game ended but Salk says it is so much more complicated than simply blaming Scott Servais or Robbie Ray for the loss, but has a lot to do with how Munoz and Sewald handled things prior to the move with Robbie.

We decide to open the phone lines to let Seattle sports fans a chance to vent and express their own frustrations from the game and what they'd like to do differently.

BROCK AND SALK - Hour 2-Who is to blame for the Mariners loss? Jeff Passan (ESPN)

Brock and Salk debate Servais' decision vs execution to put Ray in against Alvarez but they can both agree that Ray messed up by not going with his slider and leaving two low-90's fastballs over the plate.

ESPN's Senior MLB Insider Jeff Passan joins Brock & Salk to discuss what he saw in last night's ALDS Game 1 and share praise for Julio and his own thoughts on pitching to Alvarez.

Brock's 'Blue 88' covers the lowest/worst moment of his football career, how locker rooms overcome defeat and will Kenneth Walker be prepared for this moment on Sunday?

They had a few callers who were baffled by the idea of using Ray in the game 1 gameplan. Also forgot which host it was but they mentioned that A-Rod said M's they pulled Gilbert too early. I'm with A-Rod 100%. Salk didn't seem to put much blame on Servais. Disagree there. It all went downhill after they pulled Gilbert at 84 freaking pitches. They rode Gilbert as the 2nd ace all year and now you dont trust him at 84 pitches with a 4 run lead? This wasn't some Grady Little stuff where Pedro was at 115 pitches or whatever it was in the 2003 ALCS. Ok so you pull him now youre forced to fill up all those outs. Since Munoz and Sewald scuffled they went with their "what if" last grasp desperate game plan idea which was to put in Ray. It shouldn't have even got to that point. Blue Jays blew their season by pulling Gausman and if M's don't rebound quickly their season will be lost by pulling Gilbert. This is playoff baseball it's the chess of sports while the rest are checkers.
