If a Team can fire a HC mid season then DC or OC is on the chopping block. JUst move Norton back to a LB coach and make Quinn the DC. It's the bye week, and it's not like it's a completely different Defense. It will just be taught by a natural good D-coord rather garbage ass Norton. It's not gonna hurt anything we are already giving up 500 yards a game, and it can't get any worse. We are the worse D in the league by a long shot, and a change has to be made. If you think for 1 second that we will win a SB with this D you are crazy as hell. This D is beyond garbage. Norton is not a D-coord he's a position coach and that is his strength. Just like Quinn he's not a HC he's a D-coord that is his strength.

You're completely missing the point. No one is saying it can't be done. We are saying PETE won't do it.
I understand this, and I know. We will not be advancing deep into the playoffs or be winning a SB with Norton as DC, and I hope Pete understands that, it just wont happen, and no one will convince me otherwise. This D is so tremendously bad. Why Pete is hanging on to Norton is beyond me...Oh wait I know because they are buddies. Norton as DC is equal to Tom Cable as the O-line coach.

Very true but they did advance to the SB twice and win one with Tom Cable as the O-line coach. So saying that they couldn't do it with Norton isn't correct is it?

Pete runs the defense. He has since he arrived in 2010. If you want a change, then you should be asking for Pete to be fired. We all know that isn't the correct solution.
Depends how you look at it. We are getting carved up week after week by so-so offenses. If we face KC or Baltimore, they are going to have a field day with this D. Far Far worse then what we are seeing now. If we face either of those teams in the SB (if we got there) we are literally going to have to score a TD every time we have the ball. Those 2 teams have superior D's compared to ours, and as good as Wilson is, it will not happen. We had trouble with the Vikings D. I hate to say this but the Hawks are a little overrated right now, yes they are good but not as advertised if that makes sense. Until we carve up a few good Defenses and we win a few games against teams with a winning record SOUNDLY, I'm sticking with we are a little overrated.

Does the defense need to improve? Yes. However there are many factors involved - no preseason, new players on defense, injuries, etc. They have shown they are capable of good defense. They haven't been consistent. That 3rd quarter against Minnesota, the defense played superbly. They are leading the NFL in turnover differential. They have been very opportunistic. So there is a positive. Let's see how Harrison, a healthy Adams, do after the bye. I think they will be better. If they struggle, I really don't believe it's one person's fault. The defense hasn't been very good since 2017.

C'mon Man, Are you serious? This D has been bad ever Norton has taken over. No Pre-season, new players, really? That's what your going say. No player will fix this D, they can have Yannick, Clowney, Bosa and still be bottom of the barrel. Norton has to go, it's that simple. Move his ass back to a LB coach and bring in Quinn. I've said this a thousand times, we will not win a SB with this current D, and no one will convince me otherwise. Norton has had 2 years already and there is absolutely no improvement to this D. Norton was terrible is Oakland and Gruden told him bye bye. We are giving up 500 yards a game, it's not gonna hurt to bring Quinn in right now. It can't get any worse. The question still remains, will Pete do it. Probably not, but they need to bring Quinn in at some capacity. After listening to Pete's Monday media day, he didn't say no which tells me that he knows the D is struggling right now.
