I could be wrong as well but I think it's only worth 500,000 if we cut him. I think we are paying him 4 million next year.

His cap hit for this season is $2.633 million ($800 K Base plus $1.833M bonus) . His contract is weighted to the 3rd year which is a good move for the team.

Dead cap is $3.66 million if we cut him next season. Not as good.

he is now behind Baldwin, Lockett, Graham, Willlsson, Rawls, Macevoy, and Reece in the passing game from what I can tell. So why pay a guy like that so much money? If P Rich could gain a few pounds and stay healthy Kearse would be IA.

I look at it two ways;

This is the best guy getting on the field more often.

And Pete and John are countering what they started: the trend is for taller, longer CB's now. Smaller quicker WRs counter that, and our starting 2 Wr's are small and have elite quickness and get off the line.

Why does it feel like 90% of Wilsons INT come on passes intended for Kerse? not a fan of his at all.

Straight forward, his salary is just over 4 million next year so we would only save $366,666 if we cut him next season. He will definitely be on the team next year unless he is traded or pisses off the front office ( I dare him to hold out LOL). We save 5 million if we cut him in 2018.
