Rosters need to be trimmed to 75 by September 1st. We are already seeing some cuts today. Some notable names so far:

Terrance Knighton (DT) cut by the Pats
Paul Kruger (OLB/DE) cut by the Browns
Geoff Schwartz (G) cut by the Lions
Austin Davis (QB) cut by the Browns

Do we look at any of these guys? I had no idea Kruger has been struggling so much, wasn't long ago he was a premier pass rusher.

Man, how brutal is that to be told you're not good enough to be the back up for Browns?

John Sullivan missed all of last year with a back injury.

A back injury. For a position involving leaning over a ball and snapping and then establsihing leverage through keeping your body low.

Yeah, i think there is a reason he was released and a reason we should stay far away.

Manny Lawson (OLB) - Cut by Bills, surprised to see him let go. Could he fill our LEO position left by Bruce Irvin?
Justin Hunter (WR) - Former 2nd round pick of the Titans in 2013
Bishop Sankey (RB) - Ex Husky, and former 2nd round pick by the Titans in 2014
Jeremiah Poutasi (G/T) - 3rd round pick of the Titans in last years draft

Jaguars waived DL/LB Ryan Davis.

It's a surprise regarding a useful role player who contributed ten sacks the past two seasons. The Jaguars were trying to convert Davis from the defensive line to linebacker, but the conversion evidently failed. Working against Davis in the waivers process is a relatively pricey $2.553 million base salary.
