So practice squad then?

For Lewis? Hopefully. Sounds like he has some potential.
Seems to fit the mould; 6'1" 195 with a 4.4 40.

That site claimed he ran a 4.31 at Seattle during his workout. At that size, he's worth putting on the PS and seeing what Carroll can bring out in him.

Good grief, can this FO find guys or what ?

When I read 'Vet' I assumed he was older than 25. Should still have some untapped potential and at least provides some competition.

Seems to be what they've looked for in a slot /nickel cb, for depth.

It's weird that the Hawks are poaching practice players from the Panthers at the OL and DB positions considering how shallow the Panthers are at those positions. The Hawks must see a lot from those guys that the Panthers don't because if they had any skills, they would be locked up on the roster....the Panthers lost basically their whole offensive line (with the exception of Center, Kahlil) and their whole defensive backfield (with the exception of Goodson) in the offseason.

In that pic it looks like Thomas had pretty good coverage, but as Endzorn pointed out, his arm length may have been a problem, and Kearse made a good play.

So now Lane and Simon are out and the appearance of good CB depth isn't so rosy.

We have Burley, and now Thomas. I guess the good thing is Burley already played in a game with us and both players will get a whole week of practice, and a short trip down the coast.
