Woolen has a shot to be back this week. I don't believe we have an official practice report with injuries listed until tomorrow though since we play on Monday.

As for Trey Brown, he's in the concussion protocol, so we won't know he's ready until he can get through that. There is no set timeline for those, but if he doesn't practice by Saturday it'll be safe to assume he's out until after the bye.

EDIT: It is Thursday today so we should hear something about players who practiced this afternoon at some point

Still waiting to see an official practice/injury report for today, but saw this in an article just publshed on .com

While Carroll is optimistic about Woolen and Adams' returns, he did not yet have a lot of clarity on several other players dealing with injuries.
"We should be a little bit healthier this week, we'll see," he said. "We have to make it through the week, but we do have some guys coming back to action."
On left tackle Charles Cross, who has missed the past two games with a toe injury, Carroll said, "He's running around a little bit, we'll see," Carroll said. "He's out there (at walkthrough)."
Carroll also said, "We'll see" on right guard Phil Haynes, who missed last week's game with a calf injury.
On outside linebacker Darrell Taylor, who left the game with a shin injury, Carroll said, "Darrell Taylor was in the walkthrough today. We'll see if he makes it."
Also leaving Sunday's game early was defensive end Dre'Mont Jones, who has a hip injury. Carroll said Jones, "is making an improvement. This was an encouraging day. We'll see how it goes."
Carroll said cornerback Tre Brown is "still in the protocol," after exiting Sunday's game with a concussion.
Will Dissly, who didn't play Sunday due to a shoulder injury "is doing pretty well," Carroll said. "He's encouraged, he's hoping he can play."
Cornerback/safety Coby Bryant, who didn't play due to a toe injury, is also trying to work his way back.
"He's trying to get out there," Carroll said. "Like Will (Dissly), both of them trying to get on the practice field today."

On YouTube I watched a video that most are questionable as of today. That will change some as the week goes on.

Yup. Pete gave his standard “we will have to see how they make it through the week” reply when asked about most of them today.

unacceptable level of injuries this early in the season. You don't get healthier as the season goes on.

Woolen's back, Cross is close.

Early bye might be just the remedy for us.

Unfortunately with the league's new no contact OTA and camp rules + no one barely playing in the pre-season = this is the current state of the NFL, a bazillion soft tissue injuries. Every team is dealing with them.

Exactly this. With the injuries , it's less about the contact and more about the fear that when you don't follow up with a hit in practice, the players never stress their bodies to the intensity they do in games . 70% intensity and strain in pulling up vs the 100% of what the body feels in actually making a tackle or other contact is significant.

In baseball, it woukd be like telling a pitcher to only throw 70 mph in practice but then in gametime, go full tilt 100mph. You'd hear arms falling off.

In football you have players with arms and legs falling off.

And I don't think there's been a fitness / training regimen devised to simulate the forces today's game requires. The intensity is like never before.

Dave Wyman's been preaching it for years on their radio show, have all the advanced analytics and fitness technological advancements you want.........there's no replacing contact and hitting.

I get it, the owners, players and league want to keep making their bajillions, so they're going to mitigate and err on the side of caution when it comes to keeping the players from sustaining career ending and serious trauma/head injuries, etc.

But this is the byproduct. Way more soft tissue injuries.

I have been concerned about Woolen since the preseason, he has seemingly been a step slow since then relative to last year and has not shown he has recovered from his injuries. Fingers are crossed.

The number of critical injuries has truly been significant those far and we can only hope the direction changes as they cumulatively may impact upon the team's performance this year.

It truly is a marathon rather than a sprint, so giving younger players time to heal may pay dividends later in the season.
