The defensive lines performance is going to be a telling factor whether or not the Hawks win tonight. The defensive line has to play exceptionally well in there roles. Need the speed rushers to get to the QB on passing plays and the run stoppers to eat the HBs on runs. Tremendously important for the defense to get Denver into 3 down passing situation so the NASCAR package can come in and get after Peyton.
We need to play like the 2007-08 & 2011-12 Giants in the Super Bowl against the Patriots. They made Tom Brady incredibly uncomfortable in the pocket. For the Seahawks to be successful, they are going to have to get to and consistently put press on Peyton so he want have time to read the defense/coverage. Also which is very important but is being overlooked is for DC Quinn to identify early on whether the play is going to be a run or pass and have the correct personnel on the field at the right time.
If the Hawks Defense can get more than 5 sacks and at least 10 QB hits, it will be a decisive win for the Hawks.!!
Also, I am very concerned about the Hawks identifying whether the play is going to be a run or pass pre-snap. Peyton is given 3 plays in the Huddle and usually makes the correct call per defensive alignment. Basically, it will come down to who can execute better.
Defensive Line pressure is the name of the game and John & Pete have built the Hawks for this situation and moment.
Go Hawks!!
