Isn't there some rule against "war paint" in the NFL?

I was amazed that the "John Randle rule" (who I LOVED) was not enforced.

Not to "hack" on Bruce Irvin (I think he's a stud),.........just askin',.............

.....are these guys allowed to wear "war paint" nowadays?

I was para-phrasing the rule,........but it was because Randle used too much eye-black (as "war paint") to intimidate the offense (which I LOVE).

He IS the reason the NFL embraced this rule.

Well, seeing as Ray Lewis did it for the last 15 years, I would say no one really cares.
