The Raiders did make an attempt to keep Muse via practice squad invite, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Vincent Bonsignore (on Twitter), but the young defender opted for Seattle’s offer. I was pounding the table for this, didn't think it'd actually happen. Has all the potential in the world.

..................... and that audition was in a Gus Bradley defense.

Raiders decide to go with multiyear experience (KJ Wright) making Muse available to a team looking for young development projects that can grow together. Everybody wins ... :2thumbs: ... Including Special Teams!

Good point about the special teams because BBK was very important there & hopefully Muse can make an impact there as well as a back-up to a couple positions until he gets acclimatized.

You don't think that Pete would be looking for a enforcer on the back end like a Cam Chanchlor (part dew). :hmmmm:

I was going to say...wouldn't be surprised if they look at him as a safety.

I hope so. Don't understand the move to LB.

Kid was an awesome safety and ran a 4.41 at the combine. Why bulk him up to LB?

Even as a linebacker he is still kind of under weight

He was weak in coverage but solid against the run as a S in college. His speed is his best asset.

Think his highest and best use is on ST or as depth at WOLB.

Some rumblings that he didn’t buy in to the Raiders coaching, which would explain why he was released by them. Let’s not forget at this stage he’s just a PS player. This of course could change once the staff sees what he can do.

I was watching his video highlights..
The guy is not small, where is that coming from? He's 6:2 and 230 probably more now.
You see smaller guys than him at linebacker/safety besides for me it's about can you
play in the NFL?Bigger guys, faster guys and guys with more talent have all failed many
times over so lets be real here with reality.
I see a Harrison Smith in his play..Smith btw is same height but weighs 214 lbs.

Here’s his draft profile:

Certainly different from Cam who was downgraded b/c the scouts thought him too big to be a SS.

it’d be awesome if he works out and the team finds him a spot on the 53.

Still think he’s a backup level/ ST player at OLB.

Kam was rated slow to recognise and drop in pass coverage, slow for a SS, plays best downhill, things of that nature much like this guy except the speed part, he has that, but quick twitch and suddenness didn't show up on that highlight film.

I can see him as a great back up to J.Adams at SS and would do a fine job. A true enforcer on the back end.

Kam can coach him up. NFL WRs arms just got shorten up by 12 inches.

Well we need to get ahead of teams so we can absorb 15 yard penalties' for decapitation across the middle so it becomes a no fly zone again.

With Blair and Diggs as well as Neal in the mix the reputation will create a lot of drops.
