This is a must win game tonight! Washington is by far the worst team in the league! Mariners just lost a series to a bad team and now are holding onto the 3rd WC! Have to win! Otherwise, sad!
Indeed. If we are to slump for a week or (dare I say it) two, I'm glad it's against the lowly teams, in hopes of getting our groove back in time for the 2 Cleveland series, not to mention the Atlanta series on the horizon.

If they split, it's not the end of the world. But I do agree it's an important game. Especially after going 2 of 12 with RISP on Sunday. That was brutal.

Since there's a congestion of about seven horses jockeying for AL WC slots, every game counts, and any extended slump or semi-slump is likely to be a killer.

Yep. But you can say that about every team in the mix. M's are as good or better than most. I like our chances.

Sure feels nice to have baseball that matters in Late August. Always helps with the transition to football. Hoping to have the problem of juggling playoff baseball AND Hawks stuff.
