As things stand

AZ 6-2
STL 4-3
SEA 4-4
SF 2-6

The lines:
Vikings -2.5 over Rams
Falcons -7 over 49ers

Elo Says: (I think this is a very flawed system personally but okay)
Vikings 66% over Rams 33%
Falcons 51% over 49ers 48%

The Rams will travel to visit the Vikings this week. I do think St Louis is the better team, and if you look at their scoring offense and defense it's almost identical. Sure the Vikings have the better record but the Rams have played the better teams. r. Yet they are 1-3 outside the division. This is a great shot for the Rams to prove they can win outside of the division. Time will tell. (For now Im going with the Rams but may change the pick)

The 49ers will host the Falcons this week. It's been eventful for one of them to say the least. But I feel that Gabbert has to be better than Kap at this point in time. However with the trade of Vernon Davis, and how the season has progressed I don't know if the team has a lot of fight left in them. Reggie Bush was not a loss, however Hyde may be out this week as well which leaves them with Gaskins. I can't say that looks to promising. The Falcons have not beat any team soundly, and I don't feel they are a good team. However I think they win this week.

After week 9
AZ 6-2
STL 5-3

Atlanta/Santa Clara game is easy to call, especially with Gabbert playing.

Falcons 27
9ers 3

Really having a hard time deciding on the St. Loo/Minny game. In those cases I take the home team, however....

Rams 23
Vikings 20

EDIT: Changed my pick to Rams Friday afternoon.

Rams defense will stifle the Vikings of whom has played good team this year. Vikings defense is overrated.

Can you explain: of whom has played good team this year.

Please?

Yeah, I meant of whom has played one winning team this year.

Gonna be a tough game in the cold and weather, though. I actually think the cold and weather help us more than them. They actually have a decent passing game outside of 7 yards. We love our screen passes. Shouldn't be much complication there. And of course the jet sweep or fake, of which is a running play. Still an important clog in the offense. Cig has found a nice way for Tavon and Gurley to compliment each other. Kinda reminds me of college football in a way lol. It's simple, routine, and very effective. And of course if the defense decides to commit to stopping the sweep and power, it leaves a nice screen pass option to Tavon. He roasted the Niners on it. Weird SF beat MIN and soundly.

Rams win
Falcons win

Rams win because: Gurley vs. #24 run defense (FO); AP vs. #3 run defense (FO)

Falcons win because duh.

I'm picking the Rams, but I'll probably be rooting for the Vikings though. Their remaining schedule is significantly harder than the Rams rest of season and Seattle has the opportunity to own the tiebreaker against them, which might not be true vs the Rams even if Seattle beats them. Also, the Rams are finally starting to scare me this season, having their hot streak snapped sure would be nice.

Rams win. Vikes hit a losing streak. I adore bridgewater to Diggs. Next year.

If Rams lose game. It's over. Onto LA. Rams win and game goes on.

If we lose, it's over?? That's not true at all.

Going 6-2 over the final 8 games with bouts against the Bengals, Seahawks and Cardinals might sound a bit daunting...but the other 5 games are against some of the worst teams in the NFL (Bears, Ravens, Lions, Bucs, Niners).

Cardinals will be out for blood, but we're at home and we've already shown we can beat them.

I think it's the Vikings whose season is over if they lose this game at home. Not only would we have the tie breaker, but their schedule is the opposite of ours over the back 8 games. Even if the Vikes win this game, they could easily go 3-5 over the back half and finish 9-7.

And them having the tie breaker over us wouldn't be the end of the world...all we would need is for the Seahawks to beat them and for us to own the tiebreaker over Seattle....which we're on our way to with a 3-0 division record. All 3 of us finish 10-6, and all we would need is the better conference record....all 3 teams currently have 1 AFC loss.

But winning this game would make me feel much better about everything.

I'm totally with you.:)

What's more satisfying is the fact that the Rams play dirty is finally going public. Also that if you actually scheme, Gurley isn't Jim Brown or Gayle Sayers.

David Johnson, who is the Rookie RB for AZ already got his jersey sent to Canton in week 3! He's way ahead of Gurley. He's been there done that! :stirthepot:

Are you implying that Gurley is not good?

Can I quote you on that for the next five years?
