Where normal people would swat the fire and put it out, Penny would ignite. Its just the way it is.
Seems like an incredibly obtuse reply when considering the method via which Penny was injured this time, as other backs would obviously receive the same damage on that tackle. But whatever. You're gonna say what you're gonna say, but we should at least attempt to be somewhat measured and logical.

If it were a tweaked hammy, I'd agree with you - but to chalk this up as something that supports your agenda of considering Penny especially injury prone is just blowhardism.

Would other backs receive the same damage though? I'm not so sure.

Maybe the Seahawks need a new rb coach and change the ways RBs are supposed to run. whatever rb running program that the Seahawks organization is running is not working.

Freak thing to happen. I wanted Chubb too but, the knee was something to consider.

Sans injury, Penny could’ve been the best back in the league. He showed that near the end of last season.

Rough stuff…

Averaging 6 YPC on his last 250 attempts, which stretches back to 2019. He's just been absolutely incredible for his entire career here... when available.

Averaging almost a full yard more since 2019 than Shaun Alexander did in the 2005 season. It doesn't get better.

And without Big Walt and that poison pill guy Hutch!

This player just has buzzard’s luck, that he is injury prone seem indisputable, yet in college he was injury free, go figure. The team drafted a durable player with legit talent and got a player that get’s hurt every season. Sadly we then can never see that genuine talent except for brief flashes.

He’s a talented RB but unfortunately just can’t stay healthy. Thing is he just can’t be relied upon to show up, and has lost significant time to injury every season now. He now despite his significant talent can’t ever play a whole season, nor can you build a team around him b/c just when needed he’s out and lost for significant time.

More bad luck at RB a position where durability matched with talent is essential. Penny is talented but sadly unreliable. The team truly got a different player than the player they thought they’d drafted.

Looks like we'll be drafting another RB with one of our four picks in the 1st and 2nd rounds, or perhaps waiting until the 3rd round to grab one.

It's time to move on from Penny.

Seriously? You are talking about durability with respect to this injury?

200

Everyone in here claiming this injury was somehow durability related, go write, "This was not a durability injury" 100 times. And then maybe, just maybe, we can all start taking you seriously again.

C’mon yourself, Penny has for one reason or another missed significant every year since being drafted with one injury or another.

I think he’s a quality RB but he sure is predisposed to being injured. It’s certainly disappointing but he just can’t stay healthy.

There is not a RB in the league that wouldn't have gotten hurt by that.

It isn't a matter of 'his body not holding up'.
Which is one of the reasons why I don't like using high draft picks on running backs

I sure as hell hope that we don't waste another high draft pick on a RB.

Both DJ Dallas and Travis Homer are reliable backups that can play on special teams, and we just got through burning a 2nd rounder on Walker. If we're going to draft another running back, let's wait until the 3rd day. We have a lot bigger fish to fry with those high draft picks besides running backs.
