The Seattle Seahawks have signed former Eastern Washington wide receiver Nick Edwards to the team's practice squad, Edwards' agent tweeted Wednesday night.
Edwards, who totaled 33 receiving touchdowns in his four years as an Eagle, initially signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings but was released by the club on May 6. He then signed with the Spokane Shock and was placed on the team's injured reserve list. He most recently signed with the Arizona Cardinals but was waived on Aug. 26.
Former Eagles teammate and fellow wide receiver Greg Herd spent time with the Seahawks before the season but was waived/injured before the season. Brandon Kaufman signed with the Buffalo Bills after the draft but was released when the team made it's final pre-season cuts. Kaufman has worked out for multiple NFL teams in recent weeks but has not been offered a contract.
