Paul Moyer has some stats that will surprise you when it comes to Russell and the throwing success.

Russell Wilson was ranked 14th in throws 20 yards or longer with ~45 throws. Leading QBs were in the high 50s and 60s

The biggest factor was the amount of sacks on 1st and 2nd downs creating a lot of 3rd and longs.
