Wilson maintains? You are better off to say RW is a janitor because he cleans up at the end of games.
Look at quarters 1 vs quarter 2 then quarters 3 vs 4. Wilson gets dialed in when pressure is on even in college.

That doesn't indicate clutch. Look at 4th quarter within 7, behind by 1-8 points, numbers while tied, overtime numbers, that kind of thing. You really should read that article to understand that clutch is a myth. Some players fall apart under pressure, some players maintain. Almost nobody is clutch.....not Tom Brady, Joe Montana, or even Michael Jordan when you look at regular season vs. playoffs. Their numbers are generally worse in clutch situations or slightly better if at all (maintain). As a fan though, most of us only remember the glory and not the fails. Its really a fascinating read.

That's BS...clutch is a fallacy? Ask Lebron. Ask Peyton Manning

Reading comprehension. "Some players fall apart under pressure".

So what is it when certain players excell under pressure? When a player that's been struggling for 3 quarters finds a way to bring his team all the way back? That's not "maintaining" no matter how you slice it

Luck has been arguably more clutch than Wilson has. He's had one more 4th quarter comeback in the same time frame as Wilson, not to mention his Colts have probably overachieved their "pythagorean wins" more than anyone since 2012. Best way to win more games than you are supposed to? Be super clutch.

Tebow was the most clutch bad QB of all time in 2011.

Tebow is an anomaly. He was frequently terrible for three quarters only to make a few plays in the fourth quarter. He improved from bad to average and that was enough to win games that the Broncos defense kept close enough to win.

When you dig deep into MLB stats, which are the most sophisticated and comprehensive advanced stats of any sport, you'll find that "clutch" players tend to be those who merely maintain their normal level of play in all situations. There's no reason to think the NFL is any different and Russell Wilson does that. He has a 102.0 QB rating in five playoff games which is close to his career rating of 100.6 during the regular season. Andrew Luck's QB rating drops from 81.5 to 70.0 during the playoffs. Granted that's a small sample size but his eight INTs in three playoff games have been fatal to the Colts' chances. Compare that to Wilson's one INT in five playoff games which came on a last second Hail Mary against Atlanta. So far Wilson has maintained the same high level of play during playoff games, which is where the pressure is the greatest and QB reputations are made, while Luck has not.

I honestly believe that all the people that think Wilson is overrated or a game manager are either completely football ignorant or jealous.

Honest.

Reggie Jackson clutch, Michael Jordan Clutch, Russell Wilson has shown Clutch when they say go win it, otherwise he maintains the offensive strategy. If you watched the 49er Bengals Super Bowl you would never doubt that Montana was clutch as well.

You say clutch, I call it the IT factor, rises to the challenge and is able to elevate his team as well.
