It's a two year $3.5 M deal that includes a 600K signing bonus.

2017 ..... 800K base + 300k prorated signing bonus = $1.1M cap number
2018 ..... 1.6M base + 300k prorated signing bonus = $1.9M cap number
Plus ..... 500k in incentives not yet figured into cap number

Pretty good deal... he's worth at least worth 1m on ST play alone but he has a chance to develop into a quality CB. My initial number for him was a 2yr 3m deal to resign and then 1 yr, 1m later on.

So 1.1m is close.

He was so amazing on Special Teams from the moment he got out there... I kept noticing this #27 being the first guy down, well ahead of anyone else, time after time, and making plays or limiting the runner's options. "Who is this guy Thorpe? Where the heck did he come from?" Awesome to have him back. Looking forward to his development as a DB too.
