In the brochure, statistical data is used to show that no team offers undrafted free agents more preseason playing time than -- you guessed it -- the Seattle Seahawks.

It all begins with a written message by Carroll himself:

"We wholeheartedly believe in competition in all aspects of our program, and the only way to compete is to show it on the field," Carroll writes. "We're dedicated to giving all of our players a look to find out who they are and what they're all about so we can field the best team possible."

As usual for this front office... brilliant. Great way to leverage the team philosophy. This is especially true when you can look at our roster and see the evidence.

Now let's play.... Name That UDFA!
Seriously, how many UDFAs have made the team since 2010... and how many were on the team in 2013?

While you guys figure that out, imma go enjoy the sun.

Don't need to figure it out. The brochure is available to read and explains all those questions and more in detail.

Grammatical error found: History has show that the Seahawks keep and develop the Undrafted Free Agents they sign,
even at the expense of draft choices

That should be "History has "shown"

You're welcome iRo

That section about their willingness to release failed draft picks immediately is pretty bold stuff. Obviously, it's true, but bold nonetheless. They even name all the busts! Wow.

That was definitely a Schneider move.

Yea, that's pretty freakin smart. It not only gives UDFA's some confidence that if they go all out they can make the roster, but it also puts all the draft picks on notice that it doesn't matter where you were drafted, you can and will be cut if someone out plays you.

It's also brilliant in that the FO and coaching staff are pretty stone cold about roster spots and cutting guys that don't perform, yet the Seahawks have a reputation as one of the best places to play in the NFL. The environment is set up to help the players at every level, and we have shown that the players that produce at a high level will get paid at a highl level.
