You mean one of the best records in the history of the game in December? I don't worry one bit about this team in December, let alone January. Sure crap weather sucks, but both teams have to play in it.

This game really means nothing. We need to play but rest our starters. We need to be as close to 100% healthy for AZ and the playoffs. Who cares if we lose bad at home. Everyone will know we’re resting starters and getting our bench some reps. People who know football know how good and dangerous we can be in the playoffs. Who cares if we lose to the chiefs Sunday. Lose Sunday and win 4 in a row and beat them when it counts.

This is the new mentality of our generation, everything is disposable, if you think you may lose just throw the game away, have a tough schedule one year tank it for a high draft pick to hope to get a easy schedule and some blue chippers next year (Colts) WORKED well for them, they have a whole bunch of Championships since getting Luck.

I'll take the loss if it comes, would rather lose to them now and know we were not good enough then to slip into the playoffs and not win because our players didn't get a chance to see these guys up close because they were sitting on a bench.

This is not a new mentality

You know who's been the big exception to Russell Wilson's annual December hot streak? Arizona. He's 7-5-1 against them, and three of those losses have happened in December, at our house - 2013, 2016, and 2017.

So they may not be the cakewalk you're expecting. I say play hard and leave no chance of missing the playoffs. You don't rest your starters until you've actually qualified for the postseason.

I was curious, so I put a bunch of historical numbers together. Darned if I can find much of a trend based on temperature. Wilson has struggled in precipitation. Anyway, for your enjoyment, every December, January, and February game stats as a pro for Wilson.

Thx for sharing, interesting stuff. And that's a whole lot of wins overall. But I stick to my opinion that most QB's will naturally struggle in the rain or really crappy weather.

Five Ways The Seahawks Can Clinch A Playoff Spot In Week 16

1. Seattle win and Washington loss or tie.
2. Seattle win or tie and Minnesota loss.
3. Seattle win and Seattle clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over Washington.
4. Seattle win and Minnesota tie and Seattle clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over Minnesota.
5. Seattle tie and Washington loss and Philadelphia loss or tie.

Therefore, if Washington loses on Saturday at Tennessee, then the Seahawks will know that a win over KC clinches a playoff spot.

But if Washington manages to win, then we will be rooting for Minnesota to lose at Detroit on Sunday morning for the straight-forward clinching scenario.

If either Washington or Minnesota lose, then the Seahawks would be able to lock up a playoff spot with a win. If not, we’ll have to keep track of the strength of victory differential between the Seahawks and Washington — and to a lesser extent, Minnesota.

There is pretty much zero change Seattle loses to the Cardinals. That makes it nigh impossible they don't make the playoffs.

Washington just lost a bit ago so now it's official. If Seattle wins, they are in.
