Proof that NFL Referees aren't impartial.

The NFL is reviewing a video that appears to show two officials in uniform asking Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans for an autograph in the tunnel after Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, a source confirmed to ESPN.

The video captured by 1340 AM Fox Sports shows side judge Jeff Lamberth and line judge Tripp Sutter calling Evans' name and each getting autographs from the star receiver after Tampa Bay's 21-3

The NFL and the NFL Referees Association bar officials from approaching players, coaches and NFL team personnel for autographs, as it can give the appearance of partiality.

Interesting the way they are spinning it. Evans and the ref went to the same school. The ref was supposedly getting Evans' number to pass along to a golf pro from the same school to improve his golf game.

Did Evans know the ref was from the same school?

Did the ref 's golf pro buddy put the ref up to getting Evans number?

Weird situation all the way around.

Yes, either way it is a bad look for the ref to be seeking out Evans for anything personal. Especially in such a conspicuous way.
It's also a bad look to really try to extrapolate a whole story from a snapshot of three guys standing near each other talking, but this is sadly the world we live in now.

Uh... What? The NFL literally told us what was occuring, no need to extrapolate anything. A little reading comprehension goes a long ways.

May want to look before you leap there buddy. Please review this quote "The NFL is reviewing a video that appears to show two officials...". Please point me to your source that says definitively this is what was happening that isn't conjecture as is illustrated in the OP.

Reading comprehension indeed.....

Sorry, I had assumed you had actually read the rest of the replies in the thread, that pointed this out. Granted, no one posted a source, so here you go:

The NFL commented on it almost immediately, I thought we were all on the same page with the latest information. Guess not.
