What exactly is the defense doing?

They have no identity on defense.
This is seriously the softest defense I've ever seen under Pete Carroll. At least the 2010 team had some heart.

These guys are standing around with hands on hips.
No pass rush. Inability to stop the run. Other than Woolen, nobody can really cover.

I don't get it

To start the season we looked like the worst D in the league.

For 4 weeks it turned and we looked like a legit top 5 D.

For the last 3 weeks we've looked like the worst D in the league again.

If we could just have a consistently average D we'd be a good team.
