That’s the word. I think they’re both silent commits already and just about to go public. I also know that Cristobal has made the big fish, Bru McCoy, his own personal project. Usc still gonna be tough to beat on that one.

McCoy & Steele are all SC at this point in time, KT's at about 90%

I think youre right about McCoy, but I think Steele is all duck. Cale Millen said that Steele was helping recruit him to Oregon. Jonah Tu’ananu’u has also said Steele is recruiting him to Oregon. I’ll never count out USC on southern cal kids, especially as it gets closer to signing day, but if the decision had to be made today I think it would be Oregon.

I think KT will be either usc or Florida State.

  • Stanley Taufoou is a new commit for SC. Don't know much about him other than he has the tools for position (size, speed & strength). He plays in a small school division so likely won't add to his 3 stars.

Amen Brother, love getting Poly kids. It's also nice that SC will have a full class next year, something new to us. You can take a flyer on someone that appears to have the physical skills. If he works the staff found a diamond in the rough, if not welcome to the family, enjoy the scholly.

  • Another day, another under the radar pick up. Trey Davis from Federal Way, WA. SC says he's been on their radar since his sophomore season, so we'll see what his senior year brings.

That seems like an odd one. 19th ranked player in the state of Washington, and it’s not like federal way is a tiny little place where he won’t get noticed. Hopefully it means Steele is indeed Oregon bound.

He may have a "triste" with the ducks, but when it comes time to tie the knot, it'll be difficult to leave home.

  • Composite 3 star, 4 star 247, tight end Patrick Herbert is a duck. More of a receiver then a blocker. Obviously the younger brother of our qb. Hopefully this will keep Justin Herbert around for his senior year with the chance to play with his bro.

Tomorrow could be a 4 commit day for the ducks with 3 of them being too 100 players. I saw that usc picked up 2 more low level 3 stars. Wierd.

Of the few who make it to major college football even fewer make it to the pros. Academics are paramount, at least to those of us who care about student athletes, our school, and the integrity of the process.

  • Kelly has never been much of a recruiter, which is why he went to the NFL in the first place. UCLA is just a pit stop until Kelly gets another HC opportunity in the NFL. The players who commit to UCLA will essentially have to recruit themselves there.

At Oregon he was not a grinder. He’s not a guy who will spend hours and hours on a kid.but he was really good as a closer at the end of a cycle when head coaches do their on home visits.

He’s definitely not the guy that’s gonna play the game and kiss a 17 year olds ass though.

  • UW is going hard after the kids from Hawaii and/or the Poly kids.

9 guys in last years class of 21, 5 out of their 10 commits this year.

They're also have a good shot at Buelow and Vimahi (OT), Tuitele (DT), and Tufono (LB). Vimahi is a teammate of Ah You.

In regards to the kid out of Federal Way, Alphonzo Tuputala, he's already 6'3 240 and was awarded MVP for both LB & DE at the UW Rising Stars camp they held at the beginning of the month. He's listed at a LB, but he'll end up as a BUCK/DE.

  • Suaava Poti, 3 star defensive linemen from St John Bosco in California has commited to the Ducks. Ducks are really focusing on some of the traditional feeder schools this year. They're trying to take over Mater Dei (they've landed four and are hard after 2 or 3 more) and St John Bosco (Poti is the first they've landed, they're after 3 more) They're also working really hard to get into IMG Acadamy in Florida, which is probably the biggest feeder school for the whole country, Ducks are expected to land a couple dudes out of there.
