DE-Marcus Davenport, UTSA, 6-056/235, 4.77/40 +/-, ranked #133-overall, projected Rd-4
(currently at nfldraftscout.com). A small school prospect that is putting up nice #'s and is getting noticed by a lot of scouts.
At first glance, a 235-lb DE is questionable, but he is described as 235 as well as 252, if the later size is more accurate, which I believe is true, this may be a "player of interest" for the Seahawks, whom we all know --really love length -- in a pass rusher. The Sr. bowl & the combine will answer some questions there, including measuring his burst which looks pretty good. Whom ever drafts him will likely want to see him add some muscle weight. The Rice game shows that level of competition may not be an insurmountable mountain for Davenport to climb. He actually looks like a real beast on a lot of plays. Davenport would seem to be fairly accomplished in both defending the run and the pass, although more muscle would help both. SEE: https://swcroundup.com/news/2017/10/23/ ... ce-offense.
2017: 11-games, 55-tkls, 33-solo, 17.0-TFL, 8.5-Sacks, 1-FR, 4-PBU, 8-QBH, 3-FF (stats updated 1/04/18)
2016: 13-games, 68-tkls, 31-solo, 10.0-TFL, 6.5-Sacks, 1-FR, 1-PBU, 8-QBH, 1-FF
2015: 11-games, 49-tkls, 30-solo, 7.5-TFL, 4.0-Sacks, 3-PBU, 4-QBH, 2-FF
2014: 11-games, 14-tkls, 5-solo, 2.5-TFL, 2.5-Sacks, 1-QBH
CAREER: 46-games, 186-tkls, 99-solo, 37-TFL, 21.5-Sacks, 2-FR, 8-PBU, 21-QBH, 6-FF
