Lets say a team that drafted early(1-15) wants to get back in the first round and pick up a player at #32? If they offered their 2nd and 3rd would you take it?

what if the team had the...10th pick of every round? I think it's always better having more picks. Of course it depends who's still available.

^ absolutely I would. A draft class that is supposed to be deeper than it has been in years, it makes sense to add more picks. With the 10th pick in the 2nd and 3rd round, I'd feel confident that John and Pete can turn at least one of those two picks into a major contributor.

Unlikely to happen, there's no rush now with only round 1 on the 1st day, teams can sit back & take stock before the next day.

Yes. Unless a can't miss prospect is waiting for you at #32 and is sure to be taken within another 10 picks, you have to take that trade IMO.

It seems to me whenever a team trades up and gives away multiple picks for an individual player, it doesn't work out. (atlanta, colts, redskins,...ect)

Late 2nd and even late 3rd are worth a lot this year. Would be hard to find a buyer, but for a third, yes absolutely.

There is always some new head coach and general manager that want to bet the farm because their scared they won't be here next year. I figure it's Cleveland this year since they have 2 first they will be feeling cocky. Especially after the perceived success that Minnesota had last year.

I'd only move down if there were enough prospects left @ 32 that I valued at the draft slot I'd be moving back to that at least one of them were there. So, say we'd be moving back to 40. I'd have to have at least 9 guys I'd be comfortable taking at that spot without it feeling like a reach. That way, even if the guys I like fall like dominoes, I still have a guy I like there to take and have an extra draft pick to show for it. I think the 35-45 range could have some studs still available with this draft class.

Depends who is there but probably. Wouldn't mind trading back and taking Coleman (or whoever else is available that fills a similiar need), and then that Notre Dame TE with our other 2nd rounder.

Thing is we really need quality over quantity. It's is already hats to make this roster. What if we only traded down a few slots for an extra 4th then packaged our two 4th or a 4th & 5th to get a 3rd round pick. This is not a bad Draft to trade next year's picks for either. Maybe trade or 4th & 5th and next year's 3rd to get a high 3rd pick.

I'm sure JS will definitely be trying to recoup the 3rd they spent in the Harvin deal.. especially with how much this FO values those 3rd-5th round picks..

That said you need a buyer first.. I wonder if some teams would be reluctant to do such a deal knowing that pick Seattle is receiving is more likely to be a future star on a loaded team than any other scenario.

To get a third, we could easily have to give up our first. Maybe this year's first for a third this year and a 2nd next year kind of deal.

The problem with picking last in the round, is you aren't going to be finding this year value. We could be required to go 1st and 4th for third this year and maybe a first and third next year.

We're short picks and we don't have a lot of options this year. Probably a good year to stand pat or move up actually. I could see a first and second for a 10 spot jump in the first and a third this year. Not sure if anyone we'd covet would still be around at 22-23.

We need quality AND quantity. The flipside of drafting so well and stocking our roster with all these guys on their rookie deals is that we're going to have to start paying some of those guys handsomely and letting other guys walk in FA. We need to be drafting future starters right now, not just worrying about whether we get the one guy who can fill one hole. Next year, we're going to have more holes and even more the year after that if we don't draft quality AND quantity to fill those holes.

Current Seahawk picks: 1/32, 2/64, 4/128, 5/136, 5/160, 6/192, 7/224. Pick #32 is worth 590 points on the old trade chart. IMO- this trade down helps fill the current void between SEA picks 64 and 128 (where there are many decent players in that range).
Possible trade partners:
(Baltamore) #48(420) & #80(190) = 610; =SEA picks: 2/48, 2/64, 3/80, 4/128, 5/134, 5/160, 6/192, 7/224.
(N. Y. Jets) #49(410) & #81(185) = 595; =SEA picks: 2/49, 2/64, 3/81, 4/128, 5/134, 5/160, 6/192, 7/224.
(Miami) #50(400) & #82(180) = 580; =SEA picks: 2/50, 2/64, 3/82, 4/128, 5/134, 5/160, 6/192, 7/224.
