2016: On field turf and derivitives the Seahawks are 7-1 with the offense averaging 26.5 ppg which would rank #7 in the league overall. On natural grass we are 0-2-1 and the offense averages 4 (four, cuatro) ppg, dead last by a light year. Thankfully, our only true natural grass game left on the schedule is week 17 at SF. Better news is that there is almost a zero chance we draw a playoff game on grass. AT&T Stadium uses Matrix turf and SB LI site NRG Stadium just installed something called UBU Sports Speed Series S5-M.

Since 2012, The RW Era: The Seahawks are 12-10-1 on grass with three of those wins coming against back up quaterbacks the likes of Mark Sanchez, Ryan Lindley and Jimmy Claussen. That leaves a record of 9-10-1 against teams with their usual starters at QB and on grass. We are 0-4 against AFC teams and playing on grass with starting QBS at the helm, to include Rivers, Tannehill, Smith and Brady in SB49. The only win v. an AFC team on grass is against the Claussen Ravens last year, and they paid us back by breaking Thomas Rawls' leg. Ouch!
STAY OFF THE GRASS!
I reserve the right to not be 100% correct in extrapolating my data, but I'm pretty sure I have it right. The Seahawks pretty much suck on grass, especially the offense!
Cheers!
