True, but I think position coach is much different than head coach. Norton Jr. seems pretty good imo.

"Walt, Teach me your ways"

"Be super big, strong, and agile like a mother.."

I'd still like it. I honestly am starting to think Cable is wearing out his welcome. I understand he's had to do more with worse, but it's not working. So its time to start thinking about the future. I dont know what kinda of coaching Walt already has under him, but he would need to come on as an assistant or something for at least year to show he can manage, as well as train.

I was just reading his tweets also. Probably wouldn't happen.

Walter has run all kinds of camps in his day, so I know he has the coaching/developing gene.

Every NFL game I attend, I wear my Jones throwback jersey and he knows it. Solid dude, and let's just face it. A hoffer giving these guys ANYTHING is a great idea.

I've called for it before, and I never understood why the hawks haven't called out to him.

I thought perhaps it's Cable ego, that won't allow it.

Jones doesn't have to be OL coach, he just has to teach these young guys.

Walter Jones was THE man on the Offensive Line in his day. He was the best Offensive Tackle in the NFL....period. Pete could do a lot worse if he asked him to Coach. Walter was hard on himself.....he'd be hard with his players.

This maybe true but I grew up learning that the superstars in professional sports are often the hardest workers as well. Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Larry Bird, Barry Sanders, Walter Jones, just to name a few. I would love to see Walter training these guys.

How many Escalades would the team have to buy for training camp?

I can see it now...... :2thumbs:

I would bet, Russ would gladly buy Escalades for every OL if he could stay on his feet the whole season.

You think Jones would give Sowell and Gilliam a Peel P50 to push around? I personally think it would kick their ass.Large 127230
